X. 2. Working with texts. Crosscurricular Creativity. Creative task design

Working with Texts

This IP (Intensive Programme) project involved the organization of a 2-week intensive training programme for teacher training students from different countries. The programme took place in Estonia. The aim of the IP was to give students ideas and hands-on experience  how to integrate various school subjects in a variety of activities and use them as creative tasks in their own classroom teaching. The partner countries of the project included Austria, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Norway, Italy, The Netherlands, Estonia and Hungary. The first step of the project was that international groups of three students were organized. The next step was to participate in funny team building activities. After that lesson observations followed in Estonian bilingual and bicultural schools. Eventually, the international groups of students planned lessons together and did team teaching, using crosscurricular creativity in the tasks designed by them.

Sample tasks included:

Listening to music and, at the same time, creating art works inspired by the musical piece.

Listening to a piece of poetry and drawing a poster to invite children for a literary event.

Can you think of any cother example of crosscurricular creativity?
