In my paper Supertextual Cohesion and Stylistics, in: Semiotic Textology 1. Some Basic Questions of Textology (Acta Academiae Paedagogicae Szegediensis, Series Linguistica, Litteraria et Aesthetica, 45-56, Szeged, ed. by János S. Petőfi and Imre Békési) I made an attempt to elaborate a functional and textcentred style-analysis. The terms, supertextual focus and supertext, were introduced, in order to label the cohesive forces emerging and working at segments which are larger than a text. I also investigated the thematic-stylistic variations of supertext in respect of stylistic analysis and style-typology. The explanative importance of supertext was exploited through the analysis of three poems, while I tried to assess the typologic variations of supertext by its intertextual relations.
