In this essay the author offers a survey of the two subgroups of multimedia communicata of verbal and visual components by using János S. Petőfi’s typological framework. The analyses of examples serve as contributions to a better understanding of the functions of typifying factors and of the subgroups themselves. László Nagy and Margit Szécsi are the authors of verbal components while Béla Kondor and László Nagy are the representatives of the visual components.
