English as a Foreign Language Instructor, Master's Program
60 credits, 2 terms
The aim of our program is to prepare students for teaching and researching EFL, as well as being able to particpate in planning, administering and developing English language instruction in various settings outside the public education domain.
The program runs both in daytime and correspondence format (with classes held on Friday afternoons and Saturdays).
Entrance exam:
The entrance exam is an interview (in English, about 20 min) with three areas of questioning:
- general language proficiency (to demonstrate that the candidate's language knowledge is at least at C1 level); topics may include (but not limited to): the candidate's personal and professional background, views on everyday issues, etc.
- interest in and commitment to languages and languae learning/teaching; topics may include (but not limited to): the candidate's language learning experiences, views on the importance of languages, etc.
- attitude towards and background knowledge on conducting studies in a master's program; topics may include (but not limited to): what competences students need, how a master's program is different from a shorter training or course, etc.
