7. German language (HU, AT)
For the lower primary school teachers foreign language mean linguistic competence on the one hand, and background knowledge on countries speaking German language on the other, their attitudes and values. The application-oriented actualisation of this country knowledge is a permanent task, as society in Europe changes so quickly nowadays. Knowing a language serves the establishment of equal opportunities within the European Union.
The suggested form of processing the topic is the form of seminars, that provides possibilities for getting to know the similarities and differences of a foreign and the national culture, which helps the creation and formulation of own identity. Materials from newspapers, radio and television programmes used in the module greatly aid reading and listening comprehension, good means of it.
