MTA-SZTE Health Promotion Research Group

Report

01. September, 2023. – 31. August, 2024.

Preamble: according to the Grantor's decision 216/19/2023/KTI (14.11.2023), the MTA-SZTE Health Promotion Research Group's funding was suspended until the minimum publication requirements for the 2nd research year have been fully met, with a final deadline of 31.03.2024. The amendment to the funding document stipulating this is dated 25.03.2024. Following the completion of the missing work, the blocking of the grant amount was released by decision of the President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (16.07.2024), registered under No 75/16/2024/KTI, and the President approved the transfer of the balance of the 3rd research year to the next period.

As a result, the research team has focused on publication and dissemination activities and the progress of PhD students during the reporting period. During the reporting period, 37 publications were produced: 1 Q1 (see publication list item 5), 2 Q2 (of which 1 is the completion of the minimum requirement by the end of year 2; see publication list items 1 and 3), 1 higher education textbook (see publication list item 6; https://eta.bibl.u-szeged.hu/5980/), 1 conference paper (see publication list item 8.), 20 other journal articles (discourse analysis, article review, visual abstract, interview, translation, technical document, one-minute abstract, see publication list items 2, 4, 9-26), 1 abstract volume (see publication list item 7), 11 conference abstracts (see publication list/conference presentations items 1-11). With the journal articles without scientific ranking, we aimed to disseminate international professional materials related to health promotion to the Hungarian audience, and to raise awareness of the research group and the Research Programme for Public Education Development of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

During the reporting period, a member of our research team, Dr. Veronika Mátó, defended her doctoral dissertation "Health and health influencing factors among staff and students of University of Szeged" (2023) in the field of theoretical medicine, degree number: SZAOK-56/2023.
