10. Selecting an aspect of cooperative learning resources to explore

Thinking questions

  • What benefits may cooperative learning have when teaching children?
  • Why use cooperative learning?
  • Do you use personal feedback through the process of cooperative learning?
  • How can you support your learners in cooperative learning activities?
  • How do cooperative teams work?

Employers place a high value on the skills that learners gain during co-operative learning. Being able to work effectively with others to get a job done is vital in the workplace.

“In the process of working together to achieve shared goals students can come to care about one another on more than just a professional level. Extraordinary accomplishments result from personal involvement with the task and each other”[1].
