Skill development from 7 to 11 years of age

Children take any ball in their hands, and instinctively try to roll or dribble it, or throw it onto a low backboard, somehow into the basket. After the first successful attempt (I hit the backboard, score a goal), the student will make several attempts to be successful again. When the players already know some moves, can dribble the ball, shoot on goal, already in childhood, students start to play against each other, either before training sessions or on the courtyard, playground or at other places. If two children play with a ball near a basketball backboard, both would like to possess the ball and shoot on goal or dribble. Through exciting games, fitting the age-specific characteristics, the basic aim is to get to like basketball and to develop the versatile playing skills.

“You cannot start it early enough.”
