Tactics

Tactics: a planned form of play to achieve the best result, fitting the actual circumstances.

Basic principles for the instruction of tactics:

  • The theoretical and practical instructions run parallel, complementing each other.
  • The process must be from the simple to the complex.
  • The exercises must be done with optimal speed, which requires three elements: technical skills, a perfect physical condition, and understanding the tactical task.
  • Players must practise both without the opponent and against them.
  • Demonstrations and explanations are also necessary.
  • You should aim at variety.
  • Technical elements should also be taught together with tactical practice.

The parts of tactics:

  • Offence/ attack
  • Defence
  • Transition from offence to defence
  • Transition from defence to offence
  • Individual, team or part of team tactics
