The tactics of setting

They prepare the finishing of the attack, when the ball is set by the player in such a way that the attack is successful from it.

The main points of setting:

• positioning on the court
• the precision of the ball coming from the serve reception
• the opportunities of the set balls to perform the attack

The technical skills involve passing the ball by setting to any direction in the court, and the cooperation with the fellow players. In school instruction every student must be ready to set, there is no game purely for the position of the setter. In case of rotations, there is an opportunity to perform sets, to “serve” the teammates for the sake of the successful performance of the attack. Later, of course, it becomes clear who is suitable for the role of the setter, and will do the activities in the game only in that position.
