The technique of the serve

The game begins by the serve; therefore this is the first initiative of the team, which can also aim at scoring a point directly. The serve is one of the most important elements of the game; a good and successful serve is a precondition of starting the game. With beginning students it is important to teach it, as the objective here is to send ball to the opponent’s half. To achieve a continuous game, a safe serve must be performed as a precondition. At first, we should teach students only one type of serve; when they have acquired this correctly and safely, we can deal with the performance of further serving techniques. Now the straight underhand serve will be discussed, which is easy to learn for beginners.
