Active relaxation methods

The so-called progressive methods is a group of active relaxation methods, which were elaborated in the 1930s by Jacobson. Their aim is to awake people’s consciousness to their bodily functions and to help release the unnecessary muscular tension, to free the mind from anxiety and to create the optimal physical and mental condition.
