Water aerobics

Water aerobics is a series of exercises performed in water; it is built on the movements of gymnastics. The exercises are aimed to work out the whole body, or, occasionally, one particular group of muscles. Water aerobics exercises can be adjusted to any age group. The exercises are performed in shallow water, in chest-deep water, or in deeper water, using special belts. A frequently used equipment in water aerobics is a bar with rubber straps at both of its ends. The straps can be attached to the ankles with the help of loops. Exercises done with this equipment are beneficial for the muscles of the whole body, especially for the muscles of the torso.
