Callanetics

It is one of the most efficient body-shaping methods since it exercises the deep muscles as well. It can be recoomended for those who do not favour dynamic exercises, for example the elderly and the sick or injured.  Callanetics prevents backaches, osteoporosis, sclerosis and it helps people to feel better.

Callanetics is a special body-shaping method which can be used to improve the shape and the posture of the body in a short period of time. It has a considerably beneficial effect on people’s general condition. In a callanetics lesson each participant does the exercises at his or her speed. Usually there are small movements to be performed in order to shape buttocks, hip, legs and stomach.

A series of exercises called New Callanetics serves to strengthen the muscles of the upper body including back, arm and chest muscles.  Those minor muscles which are formed near the spine, may reduce bachache, the pain of the neck and the waist. The New callanetics method lays a special emphasis on the training of pelvic muscles, which help to activate the deep muscles more intensively and efficiently.

Some lessons are called Cardio Callanetics, which represent a faster, more dynamic type of callanetics. In this type, in addition to the traditional exercises, a 25-minute dynamic training is used to raise the pulse and burn body fats.
