The potentials of sports tourism in Hungary
By the report of the World Tourism Organization it is the outdoor activities exploring natural resources that are the most popular kinds of sports, pursued during travels. These activities include skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, hiking, cycling and water sports. (Dávid L. et al 2006). With some geographical knowledge it can be stated that Hungary’s potentials in this respect – apart from mountaineering – are relatively good. In the next part of this study these kinds of activities and their Hungarian potentials will be overviewed.
