Sports psychology is an interdisciplinary academic  that incorporates psychology, physiology, biomechanics and kinesiology. It investigates why and how different psychological  affect performance and how participation in sports activities  human psychology and physiology. Originally, sports psychology was done  physical educators and not researchers. This is why it is difficult to trace  its historical origins.  It can be said that in Europe sports psychology as an academic  was born in Germany, since the first sports psychology laboratory was set  by Dr. Carl Diem in Berlin at the beginning of the 20th century. More recently  sports psychology, in addition to investigating sports people, focuses on coaches and parents, too, and investigates phenomena in relation to communication, team building, career transition, injuries and rehabilitation.
